The University of Michigan (U-M) requests to amend NRC Materials License No. SNM-179, which is scheduled to expire on October 31, 2024. Specifically, U-M is asking NRC to extend the term of the license by an additional five (5) years from the current 10-year term, in accordance with the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards memorandum, Procedure for Implementing the 15 Year Materials License Term (August 18, 2017, ML17200D112).
