DOCKETS 50-266 AND 50-301 COMPLETION OF DETAILED CONTROL ROOM DESIGN REVIEW ACTIONS POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 By letter dated May 11, 1990, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) provided Wisconsin Electric Power Company, the licensee for Point Beach Nuclear Plant (PBNP) , with the safety evaluation associated with the detailed control room design review for PBNP.
In this safety evaluation, the NRC stated that all requirements of Supplement 1 to NUREG-0737 had.been satisfied and that the detailed control room design review was acceptable. The NRC also requested that they be informed when all actions associated with the review, including the resolution of all safety-significant Human Engineering Discrepancies (HEDs), were completed.
This letter is being submitted to inform you that all of these actions have been completed. The last of the actions were completed on February 21, 1994 when post-installation testing was completed and the upgrade to the plant communications system was accepted by the operations group. The details of this system upgrade were initially discussed in a letter submitted to you on October 3, 1991. The completion of this system upgrade is also described in a letter submitted to you on March 8, 1994.
