Sequence of a White finding

  • Event (various sources)
  • Inspection, NRC will conduct a more detail inspection look at the issue and communicate a more than green concern with licensee.
  • Discussion between site and NRC about issue and significance (typically PRA)
  • Exit - meeting to officially state the white finding
  • Inspection report - contains a preliminary finding. Asks for acceptance or challenge.

Preliminary White Finding

The Preliminary White Finding occurs when an Inspection Report documents the finding. It is, perhaps, the first official published step for the white finding issue.
