TELECONFERENCE WITH FERMI 2 REGARDING DRAFT RESPONSE TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON EMERGENCY DIESEL GENERATORS (EDG) ALLOWED OUTAGE TIME EXTENSION AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. MD2618)On July 12, 2006, Detroit Edison Company (the licensee) submitted an amendment request tomodify Conditions, Required Actions, and Completion Times associated with the inoperability of one or more EDG in Technical Specification 3.8.1 for Fermi 2. By letter dated June 5, 2007, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, sent the licensee a request for additional information (RAI). On June 8, 2007, the licensee sent a draft response to the information requested by the NRC staff via electronic mail. This electronic mail also included draft proposed regulatory commitments. A copy of the e-mail and its attachments is enclosed.The licensee requested a telephone conference to discuss the draft responses to the NRC staffRAI. This telephone conference was held on June 11, 2007. Theresa Clark, myself, and representatives of the licensee's organization participated in the call. In the telephone conference, the NRC staff asked clarifying questions that resulted in the licensee revising the RAI response. By letter dated June 15, 2007, the licensee submitted the formal response.Docket No. 50-341
