Increase reliability by reducing the number of

" cold starts".

NPF-36 contains a footnote in Section 3/4.8.1 which permits warmup procedures.

A subsequent License Change Application for reduction in the test and run frequency will be l

filed shortly.

I.A.I.4 Long Term Upgrade of Operations Personnel Final rule on shift staffing was approved by the Commission April 1983.

NPF-36 was issued July 1985 and incorporated approved etaffing and work hourly requirements directly into Appendix B (Technical Specifications).

No further action required.

M56690 Shoreham - PRA Review All sections of the 1983 PRA available for NRC review, have been submitted.

The results of the PRA for full power incorporating the Supplementary Containment System will be submitted shortly, in accordance with NRC's request dated July 28, 1987.

M56691 Shoreham - TDI EDGs License Change Application #8, SNRC-1328, submitted April 27, 1987 to NRC for review.

M56978 Shoreham - Groundwater Monitoring Protection This monitoring program is in effect.

Action is required at power levels above 5% but LILCO is currently monitoring to collect a data base.

A-14 10 CFR 50.55A - Inservice Test _ igg LILCO has received a letter from the NRC dated September 15, 1987.

The letter requires a response on this topic by November 7.

Status for this item will be contained in our response.

The following security items have been updated in Revision 15 of the SNPS Security Plan submitted September 24, 1987 (SNRC-1382).
