Thursday, August 04, 2011 7:36 AM Gallagher, Carol Draft Reg Guide Recommendation / Comment I am a nuclear security firearms instructor at Plant Vogtle. Just a small recommendation to assist if you feel it is applicable referencing NRC-2011-0015 (DG-5020) while it is in draft format.
DG-5020, Section 8, Page 19... Recommend addition:
Security Training Firearms Instructors must be trained or certified by a State or nationally recognized entity for each enhanced weapon for which the individual will be providing instruction and this is consistent with Reg Guide 5.75.
Reason: This would enhance consistency and act as a reminder to those who may not remember the previous guidance on standard weapons as well as the new guide on enhanced weapons.
