OF THE APRIL 17, 2025, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2024 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF FERMI POWER PLANT, UNIT 2 On April 17, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. (EDT), an information meeting (open house) with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2024 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Fermi Power Plant, Unit 2, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at Carleton Branch Library Community Room in Carleton, MI.
The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and local officials. Representatives from DTE Energy were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Fermis performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the March 11, 2025, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML25064A440). Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff.
