Dear Wallace Taylor and Terry Lodge:

As described in the July 2, 2024, Acknowledgement Letter (ML24137A014), your petitions concern regarding the Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (Holtec), 2023 expenditure report (ML24089A117) for Palisades was accepted for further review and has been held in abeyance pending the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completing its review of Holtecs 2023 expenditure report.

This email is to inform you that the NRC staff has completed its review of the 2023 expenditure report (ML24045A147 and ML25041A225) and that the Petition Review Board (PRB) will resume its assessment of the 2.206 petition. Furthermore, the PRB will provide the proposed directors decision to the petitioner for comment in accordance with NRC Management Directive 8.11, Review Process for 10 CFR [Code of Federal Regulations] 2.206 Petitions (ML18296A043),Section IV.B, Schedule, and V.E, Issuing the Proposed Directors Decision for Comment.
