Im Dee Morgan, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Tribal Liaison Program Manager and ccd on this email is Senior Health Physicist, Duncan White and Intergovernmental Liaison, Huda Akhavannik. Duncan and Huda are the lead reviewers for Connecticuts application to enter into an agreement with the NRC that would grant the state authority to license and inspect byproduct, source, or special nuclear materials used or possessed within their borders.

The purpose of my outreach today is to alert you that the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has publicly posted its proposed, revised radiation regulations to provide an opportunity for comments. Comments can be submitted until 5 p.m. EST on January 19, 2024 via theeRegulations System (Tracking Number PR2021-040) or by electronic mail to Merrily Gere atMerrily.gere@ct.gov. In addition, the DEEP will also host a public hearing at 11 a.m. EST on January 17, 2024, in Hartford, CT.
