GNS demonstrated similarity between the benchmarks and the CASTOR geo69 package via TSUNAMI.

However, no information was provided on the nature of the distribution of the benchmark data. We would like to discuss the following:

1) any documentation available that shows the k values from the benchmarking analysis are normally distributed, Normal distribution is not checked due to a very conservative least-squares analysis.

Calculated bias values km and frequency distribution of km are included in Ch. 6.8, Explanation, why the distribution is not checked, is included in Ch. 6.8.

2) any evaluations of the area of applicability and trending analysis of the benchmark series selected, and No trending analysis because of ck = 0.98 Trending on ck (not included in Ch. 6.8, will be included in TSAR)

3) if extrapolation beyond the area of applicability was required and whether it was applied conservatively.

No extrapolation necessary.
