SUBJECT:

ST. LUCIE PLANT UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT NO.

208 REGARDING CONVERSION TO IMPROVED STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (L-2021-LLI-0000)

Dear Bob Coffey:

On February 20, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment No.

253 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. DPR-67 and Amendment No. 208 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-16 for the St. Lucie Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively (St. Lucie) (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24005A277). These amendments revised the technical specifications (TS) in response to your application dated September 15, 2021, as supplemented by letters dated January 19 and June 3, 2022, and October 2 and December 12, 2023.

These amendments converted the St. Lucie current TSs to improved TSs (ITS) and relocated certain requirements to other licensee-controlled documents in order to provide clearer and more readily understandable requirements in the TSs for St. Lucie to ensure safe operation.

After issuance of the amendments, the licensee notified the NRC of an error identified in Figure 3.3.1-1, Thermal Margin/Low Pressure Trip Setpoint Part 1, in Amendment 208 for the St.

Lucie, Unit No. 2 ITS. Specifically, the equation is incorrectly listed as A1 = -0.8 ASI + 1.T2.

The equation should have been stated as A1 = -0.8 ASI + 1.12.

The error was introduced as part of the issuance of the amendments. The correct value was captured in Rev. 1 dated June 3, 2022 (ML22154A323), and Rev. 2 dated October 2, 2023 (ML23275A118), of the original licensee amendment request. This correction does not change any of the conclusions in the safety evaluation associated with the issued amendment.

A revised affected page 3.3.1-10 for License Amendment No. 208 to Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-16 is enclosed. If you have any questions, please contact me at 301-415-7410, or via email.

Sincerely,

/RA/
