SUMMARY
OF FEBRUARY 28, 2024 AND MARCH 20, 2024, ADVANCED REACTOR CONSTRUCTION OVERSIGHT PROCESS PUBLIC WORKSHOP #1 On February 282024, and March 20, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff conducted two public meetings on advanced reactor construction oversight process (ARCOP) for workshop #1, which were information meetings with a question and answer session with stakeholders to discuss ARCOP draft conceptual framework including the following:
The tentative schedule for subsequent ARCOP workshops; ARCOP objectives and conceptual framework; Options for determining inspection scope; Options to assess significance of identified issues; and Inspection finding assessment options.
The meeting notices are available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession No. ML24058A197, and ML24067A292. The presentation slides are available under Accession No ML24046A154. The enclosure to this summary provides a list of attendees for the meetings as captured by Microsoft Teams.
For each topic listed above, the NRC staff provided information and allotted time for stakeholder comments and questions. Stakeholders provided feedback on several topics and asked clarifying questions. NRC staff stated that the feedback was appreciated. No follow-up actions were identified.

After this introductory workshop, the staff plans to hold specific workshops for inspection, enforcement, and assessment as well as a potential workshop to summarize or revisit any topics if necessary. The public meeting workshop #2 on inspection was conducted on April 3, 2024 (ML24082A114 for public mtg announcement).
