PUBLIC MEETING
SUMMARY
- 2022 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING REGARDING SHEARON HARRIS NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NO. 50-400, MEETING NUMBER 20230561 On May 17, 2023, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with members of the public at the New Hill Community Center in New Hill, NC. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment of Harris Nuclear Plant for the period of January 1, 2022, through December 31, 2022. The meeting notice and agenda are available in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) at Accession Number ML23116A318.
The meeting was conducted from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. Meeting attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC, Duke Energy, and members of the public. A list of attendees is attached to this memo. NRC staff were available for questions and there was minimal interaction with the public which was consistent with the typical annual assessment meetings conducted for the station.
The meeting was listed in the Public Meeting Feedback System under Meeting Code 20230561.
One meeting feedback form was received by the NRC at the meeting. No follow up actions were required or requested. As of the date of this memo, there were no other feedback responses submitted.
