Salem-Hope Creek Evacuation Time Estimate (ETE) Reviews (EPID: L-2022-LRO-0108)
- Brian, The NRC staff has reviewed the Salem-Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations updated evacuation time estimate (ETE) analysis submitted in accordance with section IV.4 of Appendix E to Title 10, Part 50 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR Part 50). The NRC staff review is intended to verify consistent application of the updated guidance contained in NUREG/CR-7002, Criteria for Development of Evacuation Time Estimate Studies, Revision 1, and does not constitute formal NRC approval of the updated ETE analyses.
As stated in NRC Letter to the Federal Emergency Management Agency dated March 13, 2023 (ML23054A253, which will be publicly available on March 21, 2023), the staff reviewed the Salem-Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations updated ETE analysis and found it to be generally consistent with the guidance in NUREG/CR-7002 and, as such, was found to be complete.
