- Hello, The NRC staff is preparing to issue the following license amendment regarding the LaSalle County Station, Units 1 and 2. A brief description of the license amendment request (LAR) is provided below. Additional information can be found in the licensees submittal dated February 10, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21041A490), as supplemented by "RS-21-085, Response to Request for Additional Information Regarding License Amendment Request to Incorporate Licensing Topical Report NEDE-33885PA, Revision 1, GNF CRDA Application Methodology ([[Project reference" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid.)|letter dated August 17, 2021]] (ADAMS Accession No. ML21229A127).
Please let me know if you have any comments or questions regarding this licensing action by January 19, 2022.

Description:
The amendments would revise LaSalles TSs to incorporate licensing topical report, GNF CRDA Application Methodology, NEDE-33885P-A, Revision 1, by modifying TS Sections 3.1.3, "Control Rod Operability," 3.1.6, "Rod Pattern Control," and 3.3.2.1, "Control Rod Block Instrumentation," to allow for greater flexibility in rod control operations during various stages of reactor power operation at LaSalle. The NRC issued a proposed finding that the amendment involves no significant hazards consideration in the Federal Register on April 20, 2021 (86 FR 20530). The NRC has not received any public comments or requests for hearing on this LAR.

In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91(b), Notice for public comment: State Consultation, the NRC has provided the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) the opportunity to comment on the above stated license amendments. IEMA appreciates the opportunity to comment on the proposed license amendments. The IEMA staff has reviewed the proposed license amendments. Based on the review by the IEMA staff, IEMA finds no basis for denial of amendment approval.
