I hope this email finds you safe and well. AFRRI is requesting for relief to an external training deadline beyond our control.
In the Confirmatory Order there is one of the actions which requires our safety culture program officer to complete the NAECP training. Their training schedule for the required class (earliest available adhering to the NRC requirements is SEP 2021) unfortunately does not align with the NRC mandated current deadline of May 2021 and therefore puts us in jeopardy of not completing an action by the mandated deadline.
The attached letter provides our request to the NRC for relief to the deadline, making it SEP 2021 +180 days instead of the current NOV 2020 + 180 days, so that we have the opportunity to attend the next available training session in SEP 2021 and then utilize the NRC allotted 180 days to put the program into action.
