SUBJECT:
REVISION 10 OF THE SSAR
Dear Mr. Quay:
Enclosed is Revision 10 of the AP600 Standard Safety Analysis Report (SSAR). Also enclosed are the revised tables of contents, change page instructions, list of effective pages, document cover sheet, and a change roadmap outlining the changes in each section. The revision is in the form of replacement sections to be inserted into the SSAR binders to replace the superseded pages. The document control sheet should be inserted in the front of Volume 1; the original document cover sheets should not be discarded. Thirty-six copies of this update are being sent to Mrs. Diane Jackson for distribution to the NRC staff. As discussed with your staff, copies are being sent directly to ACRS Members and NRC subcontractors.
The changes included in this revision are the result of changes to the $sAR to address NRC staff comments or the result of design changes to address staff comments and concerns Most of the changes have been provided previously as draft SSAR markups in responses to staff questions and open items.
When a limited amount of information in a section is revised the changes may be provided as loose page amendments. Loose page amendments include only those portions affected by the change either due to the content or due to changes in pagination. If a front or back page of a sheet is unaffected by the change the page from the previous revision is printed. Figures show the revision number in which the figure v last revised even if the page number changes.
This revision includes no information classified as proprietary.
Please contact Brian A. McIntyre on (412) 374-4334 if you have any questions concerning this trtasmittal.
