SUMMARY

- BROWNS FERRY, SEQUOYAH AND WATTS BAR NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NOS. 50-259, 50-260, 50-296, 50-327, 50-328, 50-390, AND 50-391, MEETING NUMBER 20200384 On April 30, 2020, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted an online virtual public meeting concerning Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Nuclear Plant Annual Assessments. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the Browns Ferry, Sequoyah, and Watts Bar annual assessments for the period of January 1, 2019 - December 31, 2019.

In response to the COVID-19 coronavirus and updated Federal Government guidance on travel and social distancing the meeting was held remotely through the Skype for Business application. The following documents related to the meeting are available in ADAMS: NRC Public Meeting Feedback Form (ML20106E666), Meeting Notice (ML20112F53), and Assessment Meeting Presentation (ML20112F530).

The meeting began at 2:00 PM and completed at 2:45 PM which was earlier than originally planned due to a minimal interaction and few questions from members of the public. There were approximately 58 attendees. In summary, the attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC, TVA, and members of the public. Due to the nature of the meeting no official list of attendees is included. NRC staff were available for questions after the presentation.

Three questions were asked at the public meeting:

1)

Regarding the Watts Bar Chilling Effect Letter what is a general or typical amount of time to close those letters?

2)

Have any TVA units requested relief or fatigue hour rules?

3)

Regarding residents remoting in or monitoring, what platforms or systems are they using - plant digital reviewer?

CONTACT: Son Ninh, RII/DRP 404-997-4532

T. Stephen 2

Because NRC staff adequately responded the above questions, no follow-up NRC actions are required.
