Common Attributes of Initial Recommendations (Developed through the first Program Element Screening)

NRC/AS jointly develop agenda and priorities; horizontal communications Use alternative available resources Use Centers of Excellence/Expertise Recognize current success, but supplement existing program with other options where enhancements can be achieved.

Reduce duplication of efforts (by accepting results of tasks performed by licensees and other entities in lieu of regulatory agency duplicating the efforts)

Use clearing house concept for collection of information Consensus-driven Shared responsibilities Establish national priorities Sharing resources Common Attributes for NMP Oversight Track or monitor Centers of Excellence/Expertise Monitor progress of work products (those identified as NMP priority items)

Facilitate prioritization activites (scheduled meetings; ?annual as well as ad hoc for special needs?)

Monitor budget (if necessary)

Monitor resources; evaluate if all parties are providing balanced resources and whether all parties are participating to the extent required Evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of the work activities and organization/program Encourage participation when needed Facilitate communication Develop and maintain a mechanism to report back to stakeholders
