J In our February 4,1983 response to RII: GFM 50-400/82-39, we committed to having our corrective action completed by September 1,1983. This letter is to notify you that the commitment of replacing the unidentifiable bolts on all Seismic Category I pumps (Chempumps) by the date established has not been completed.
Carolina Power & Light Company's survey made of the Chempumps on site to determine the various models and the type bolting used will be more extensive than previously expected. While installing the initially identified replacement bolts, it was discovered that additional bolts not detected in our first survey also required replacement.
A
. complete reinspection is necessary to determine those bolts necessary for seismic supports and for which the material type is not identifiable. In order to complete this reinspection, order required bolting materials, and complete the installation, we will require until December 1,1983 to be in full compliance with our commitment.
