Dear Sir:

The f allouing is to confirm a telephone conversation between Mr. R. Larrange of the Equipment Qualification Branch, and our Mr. J. O'Connor on March 11, 1983.

In the above mentioned telephone conversation, Mr. O'Connor informed Mr. LaGrange that pressure transmitters RC PT 403 and 405 are located outside containment and will be fully qualified for the environment in which they must function in accordance with the requirements of NUREG-0588, IEEE-323 (1974),

and 10CFR50.49.
