ISSUANCE OF SUBSEQUENT RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NOS. DPR-44 AND DPR-56 FOR PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 (EPID NO. L-2018-RNW-0012)
Dear Mr. Gallagher:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) has issued Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (Peach Bottom), respectively. The NRC issued the subsequent renewed facility operating licenses based on its review of your application dated July 10, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18193A689),
as supplemented by letters dated September 14, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18257A143);
January 23, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19023A015); February 11, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19042A131); March 18, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19077A253);
July 1, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19182A112); July 12, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19193A006); July 25, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19206A180), July 31, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19210C571) and October 9, 2019, (ADAMS Accession No. ML19280B255).
Subsequent Renewed Facility Operating License Nos. DPR-44 and DPR-56 for Peach Bottom expire at midnight on August 8, 2053, for Unit 2 and at midnight on July 2, 2054, for Unit 3.
The technical basis for issuing the subsequent renewed facility operating licenses for Peach Bottom is set forth in Safety Evaluation Report Related to the Subsequent License Renewal Application of Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Units 2 and 3 (ADAMS Accession No. ML20044D902). The results of the environmental review related to the issuance of the subsequent renewed licenses are given in the record of decision which is provided as to this letter and as NUREG-1437, Supplement 10, Second Renewal, "Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants, Regarding Subsequent License Renewal for Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station, Final Report (ADAMS Accession No. ML20023A937).
