Narrative

Report for LER 50-366/1981-068 On July 1,1981, while the plant was in steady state operation at 2273 MWt and performing Remote Shutdown Panel (RSDP) Channel Check Functional Test, 2C82-R006, RSDP Reactor Pressure Indicator, was found outside the required tolerance of t40 psig.

Tech Spec 3.3.6.3 requires RSDP channels shall be operable with readouts displayed external to the control room.

Plant operation was placed in a 30 day LCO.

The health and safety of the public was not affected.

This event is repetitive as last reported on Reportable Occurrence Report No. 50-366/1979-087.

The cause of ~the event was calibration drift of the GE type 180 meter.

The instrument was recalibrated and returned to service.

The reading of RSDP RPV pressure was restored.to within the required tolerance.

The unit is in full compliance with the requirements.

A generic review revealed no inherent problems.
