SUMMARY
OF DECEMBER 10, 2019, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS FUEL FACILITY EXEMPTION REQUESTS On December 10, 2019, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff held a Category 1 public meeting with Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas, BWX Technologies, and Nuclear Fuel Services to discuss applications to exempt the licensees from a reporting requirement for unplanned contamination events.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRC concerns with the exemption requests and alternatives NRC would consider.
