Response to NRC Bulletin 89-02 Gentlemen:
.NRC Bulletin 89-02 requested information pursuant to J CFR 50.64(f),
regarding the usage of swing check valves with preloaded-internal bolting.
In response to NRC Bulletin 89-02, New Hampshire Yankee (NHY) provides the following:information.
Anchor Darling Model S350W Swing Check Valves 1.re not utilized in i
safety-related applications at Seabrook Station. Additionally, no swing check valves of similar design to that of the Anchor Darling Model S350W with preloadsd Type 410 stainless steel internal boltic.g.are utilized in safety-related applications at Seabrook Station.
Based upon the aoove findings, NHY plans no further action in response to NRC.Bulletin 89-02.
