APPENDIX A NOTICE OF VIOLATION Boston Edison Company Docket No. 50-293 Based on the results of an NRC inspection conducted on August 7-10, 1979, it appears that one of your activities was not conducted in full compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations and your Facility License DPR-35 as indicated below. This is an Infraction.
Technical Specification 3.7. A.2 states in part:
" Primary Containment integrity shall be maintained at all times when the reactor is critical..."
Contrary to the above, primary containment integrity was violated on June 12,1979, when, with the reactor critical at full power, the torus was opened to the reactor building atmosphere by disassembling the Core Spray A Full Flow Test Check Valve (No. 1400-35).
