APPLICATION FOR THE MODEL NO. 3977A TRANSPORT PACKAGE, REVISION 3 - UPDATED REVIEW SCHEDULE (EPID NO. L-2018-LLA-0137)
Dear Mr. Ferguson:
By letter dated March 31, 2018 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML18136A484), you submitted an application to revise Certificate of Compliance No. 9338, for the Model No. 3977A transport package. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff accepted the application and provided a schedule for completing the review on June 6, 2018 (ADAMS Accession No. ML18341A029). On December 6, 2018, the NRC issued a request for additional information (RAI) (ADAMS Accession No. ML18341A029). On May 20, 2019, you notified NRC staff by e-mail that a response to the staffs information request would be provided by July 31, 2019 (ADAMS Accession No. ML19154A508).
Based on the July 31, 2019 response date you provided, the NRC staff has developed a new schedule. The schedule allows for the staff to issue a second RAI in September 2019 and, if a second RAI is not needed, a certificate of compliance in November 2019, based on you responding to the first RAI in July 2019. In general, no additional changes to the application should be submitted except for changes resulting from your response to an RAI.
