DESIGN CERTIFICATION TESTING INSPECTION OF NUSCALE POWER, LLC, EMERGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEM VALVE DESIGN DEMONSTRATION TESTING
Dear Mr. Afshar:
This letter documents the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs plan to perform a Design Certification Testing Inspection of NuScale Power, LLC (NuScale), as it pertains to the design and testing activities conducted for the NuScale Design Certification Application. As discussed in a telephone call on April 2, 2019, the inspectors plan to be at the Target Rock facility in Farmingdale, New York beginning Monday, June 3, 2019, and will conduct the inspection through Friday, June 7, 2019. Subsequent to the inspection, an inspection report will be issued and transmitted to you via letter. The lead inspector for this effort is Mr. Aaron Armstrong; you may contact him at (301) 415-8396 or via electronic mail at Aaron.Armstrong@nrc.gov.
