5. Results and assessment of review based on RRPS data Adverse trends or outliers noted: No Protection of Safeguards Information was a triennial inspection. The Summary of PIM Findings for calendar years (CY) 2013-2017 shows there were 2 findings in CY 2013, 2 findings in 2014, and 1 finding in CY 2017. Of the 5 findings issued, all were identified by the inspector (100%). Of the 5 findings, 4 were Green NCVs and 1 was White NOV. Reported hours show 224 hours0.00259 days
0.0622 hours
3.703704e-4 weeks
8.5232e-5 months
(5-year average) of the total allotted of 184 hours0.00213 days
0.0511 hours
3.042328e-4 weeks
7.0012e-5 months
per year. The IP currently has a minimum inspection effort of 4 hours4.62963e-5 days
0.00111 hours
6.613757e-6 weeks
1.522e-6 months
and a nominal inspection effort of 6 hours6.944444e-5 days
0.00167 hours
9.920635e-6 weeks
2.283e-6 months
(note: the IPs were revised in CY 2017 to adjust the resource estimate to reflect the nominal number of inspection requirements as the target range for completion rather than the maximum of 10 hours1.157407e-4 days
0.00278 hours
1.653439e-5 weeks
3.805e-6 months
). A review of the average inspection hours for the cycle identifies 1.99 hours0.00115 days
0.0275 hours
1.636905e-4 weeks
3.76695e-5 months
over the hours allotted per inspection. There were no adverse trends or outliers identified, however the security baseline inspection program assessments conducted determined that this inspection would be better suited on an as needed basis rather than triennial. Therefore, the CY 2019 revision will change the frequency at which this inspection is conducted.

7. Other Considerations Credit is being given for this item because of recent IP effectiveness initiatives associated with the security baseline inspection program assessments (ML17223A279).

No further changes to resources or revisions to the inspection procedure are not warranted at this time.
