SCHEDULE REVISION FOR THE REVIEW OF THE RIVER BEND STATION UNIT 1, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID L-2017-LNE-0027)
Dear Mr. Maguire:
Enclosed is a revised schedule for the review of the River Bend Station, license renewal application. This schedule has been revised to reflect minor delays that resulted from resource constraints and the implementation of new internal processes for developing documents such as the Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). This is the first license renewal SEIS being developed using this new process. I anticipate that this new process will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of future SEIS development. The issuance of the draft SEIS is changed from April 2018 to May 2018 and the end of the draft SEIS comment period is changed from June 2018 to July 2018. A public scoping meeting was held on September 19, 2017, to gather public comments for the draft SEIS and the NRC has decided not to hold a second public meeting following issuance of the draft SEIS. The overall schedule for issuance of the final SEIS and the renewed license are unchanged.
