Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRC)
Office of Investigations (OI) completed report regarding discrimination for raising safety concerns.
The NRC determined that there was insufficient evidence to substantiate the allegation that a former quality control inspector was discriminated against for raising safety concerns. OI Case No. 2-2016-045 Enclosure INVESTIGATIVE SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated on August 31, 2016 by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region II (RII), to determine whether a former quality control inspector employed by Duke Energy at H.B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2, Hartsville, SC, was discriminated against for raising safety concerns.
Based on the evidence developed during this investigation, the allegation that a former quality control inspector was the subject of discrimination for raising safety concerns was not substantiated.
