OF CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON MAY 24,2012, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., CONCERNING THE REACTOR VESSEL INTERNALS PROGRAM AT INDIAN POINT NUCLEAR GENERATING UNITS 2 AND 3 Representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff), and representatives of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy or the applicant), held a conference call on May 24, 2012, for the staff to provide clarification on a request for information (RAI) issued May 15, 2012 (ADAMS Accession No. ML12125A342) related to the Indian Point (IP) Nuclear Generating Units 2 and 3 license renewal application. The applicant requested clarification on RAI 12. Also, the applicant stated that they did not plan to develop the details required to respond to RAls 5, 6, 8, 9, 10, and 11 until the planned inspections are to take place.

The applicant indicated that the inspections were expected to commence in 2014 for IP Unit 2 and 2015 for IP Unit 3. The staff indicated that they would have an internal discussion on the applicant's planned response and would contact the applicant to provide feedback on its planned response.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
