OF TELEPHONE CONFERENCE CALL HELD ON AUGUST 9, 2011, BETWEEN THE U.s. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND STP NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANY, CONCERNING REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE SOUTH TEXAS PROJECT, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff) and representatives of STP Nuclear Operating Company (the applicant) held a telephone conference call on August 9, 2011, to follow up on the staff's Request for Additional Information (RAI) B2.1.19-1 regarding the South Texas Project, Units 1 and 2, license renewal application. The purpose of the call was to clarify, for the applicant, the staff's question regarding aspects of the applicant's American Society of Mechanical Engineers small-bore piping inspection program. As a result of the call, the applicant indicated that it understands the RAI and will prepare the requested response The enclosure provides a listing of the participants on the call.
The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
