SUBJECT:
MONTICELLO NUCLEAR GENERATING PLANT - NRC ISFSI SECURITY INSPECTION REPORT NOS. 05000263/2011403(DNMS); AND 07200058/2011401(DNMS)
Dear Mr. OConnor:
On April 20, 2011, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed a security inspection of the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, Monticello, Minnesota. The purpose of the inspection was to evaluate whether the protection of the ISFSI was in compliance with applicable NRC requirements. At the conclusion of the on-site inspection on April 20, 2011, the inspector discussed the inspection findings with you and members of your security and radiation protection staff.
Based on the results of this inspection, no findings of significance were identified.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html. However, because of the security-related discussion contained in the enclosure, and in accordance with 10 CFR 2.390, a copy of this letters enclosure will not be available for public inspection.
Enclosure Contains Sensitive Unclassified Non-Safeguards Information. When separated from enclosure, this transmittal document is decontrolled.
