UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI-COLUMBIA RESEARCH REACTOR LICENSE RENEWAL, REQUEST FOR SECTION 106 REVIEW To whom it may concern:
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is currently reviewing the University of Missouri-Columbia Research Reactors (MURRs) request for renewal of License No. R-103. Based on a telephone discussion on March 16, 2010, between Judith Deel of the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office and Betsy Ullrich of my staff, we understand that a Section 106 review is required for this renewal. Enclosed is a Section 106 Project Information Form with: (1) a USGS 7.5 min. topographic map, Columbia Quadrangle, relevant portion (labeled Attachment 1); (2) a topographic map showing locations of archaeological sites within 1 kilometer of MURR (labeled ); (3) a topographic map showing locations of historic sites in the vicinity of MURR (labeled Attachment 7); (4) twelve (12) photographs of the structures on the MURR site; and (5) a map of the MURR site showing reference for all photos, and identifying all buildings (labeled )
