Reference:
This responds to a request for additional information (RAI) (Reference 1) regarding details of the process steps used in the Unit 2 Licensing Basis Preservation Program. Enclosure 1 provides excerpts from Procedure 25402-3DP-GO4G-00081, Revision 002, "Engineering Document Construction Release," which address how each Unit 2 design change is evaluated for licensing basis impact.
In Reference 1, NRC also requested information regarding equipment refurbishment. This information was provided in TVA's letter to NRC dated July 8, 2009, 'Watts Bar Nuclear Plant (WBN) Unit 2 - Response to Request for Additional Information on Program for Construction Refurbishment (TAC NO. MD6581)."
