ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF REVIEWING OFFICIAL RELATED TO ORDER (EA-06-244) IMPOSING FINGERPRINTING AND CRIMINAL HISTORY RECORDS CHECK REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCESS TO SAFEGUARDS INFORMATION
Dear Mr. Berg:
This letter is in response to Dairyland Power Cooperatives (DPCs) letter dated January 29, 2009, which requested that Roger Christians, former Plant Manager at La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR), be deleted as one of DPCs Reviewing Officials. In accordance with EA-06-244, Order Imposing Fingerprinting and Criminal History Records Check Requirements for Access to Safeguards Information, Effective Immediately, the letter nominated Michael Brasel, current Plant Manager at LACBWR, as a replacement for Reviewing Official.
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has determined that Michael Brasel meets the criteria as specified in the Order and can serve as a Licensee Reviewing Official. As a Reviewing Official, Mr. Brasel must handle and protect all fingerprints and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal history records as specified in the Order.
Please note that if you wish to have new or additional Reviewing Officials, the NRC must approve each individual before they can act as a Reviewing Official. If you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact Kristina Banovac at 301-415-5114 or Kristina.Banovac@nrc.gov.
