Dear Mr. Swafford:

This letter informs you of a Category 3 public meeting/open forum which has been scheduled for April 14, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. (EDT). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss with the public the NRCs Reactor Oversight Process and the annual assessment of your Watts Bar Unit 1 Nuclear Plant performance. The meeting notice, which provides additional details, is enclosed.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
