RAS 13780 UNITED STATES OF AMERICA DOCKETED 06/15/07 NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION SERVED 06/15/07 ATOMIC SAFETY AND LICENSING BOARD PANEL Before the Licensing Board:
G. Paul Bollwerk, III, Chairman Dr. Richard F. Cole Dr. Lester S. Rubenstein In the Matter of PPL SUSQUEHANNA LLC (Susquehanna Steam Electric Station, Units 1 and 2)
Docket Nos. 50-387-OLA and 50-388-OLA ASLBP No. 07-854-01-OLA-BD01 June 15, 2007 MEMORANDUM AND ORDER (Scheduling Initial Prehearing Conference)
Pursuant to the Licensing Boards June 13, 2007 memorandum and order, the Board has been advised by the participants that, after consulting among themselves, not all the participants are available for the proposed June 20 or 21, 2007 initial prehearing conference dates. Additionally, however, the participants have indicated they would be available on two days the week of July 9, 2007, the alternative time period suggested by the Board. After considering the dates proffered by the parties, the Board has decided to schedule the conference as follows:
Starting Date:
Tuesday, July 10, 2007 Starting Time:
9:30 a.m. Eastern Time (ET)
The Board, which continues to anticipate that this conference should last no more than a half-day, will contact the participants regarding the call-in arrangements for this teleconference in the near future.
- Copies of this memorandum and order were sent this date by Internet e-mail transmission to (1) counsel for applicant PPL Susquehanna LLC and the NRC staff; and (2) petitioner Epstein.
The argument times allocated for each participant for the argument on standing and the presentations on the admissibility of each of petitioner Eric Joseph Epsteins three technical contentions shall remain as specified in the Boards June 13 issuance. Also, as the Board indicated in that memorandum and order, in making their arguments, the participants should bear in mind that the Licensing Board members will have read their pleadings. As such, they should focus their presentations on the critical points in controversy as those issues have emerged as a result of the various participant filings.
It is so ORDERED.
