In response to a telecom on May 3, 2007 between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) Staff and Duke, it was acknowledged that the NRC does not approve Technical Specification (TS) Bases. Therefore, the TS bases will be changed to reflect the licensing basis and TS changes associated with the sump modification in accordance with Section 5.5.14 of the McGuire 1/2 TSs.
As a result, Duke withdraws the request for the NRC to review the TS Bases associated with TS Surveillance Requirement 3.5.2.8 submitted with the License Amendment Request dated March 8, 2007.
