Dear Mr. Sutton,
I am pleased to inform you that the NRC will support the offsite Emergency Planning Meeting for the Indian Point Nuclear Plants to be held on October 12, 2005, at the Hudson Valley Traffic Management Center in Hawthorne, New York. Dr. Bores, our Region I State Liaison Officer, had previously responded as requested via e-mail to Mr. Ray Albanese, your 4-County Coordinator. We now plan to send Dr. Robert Bores and Mr. Stephen Barr, our Division of Reactor Safety Senior Emergency Preparedness Specialist with responsibility for the Indian Point site. We anticipate that this important meeting will be a major step in the revision of the offsite plans.
