Michelle, You are correct. The words should be "...the effects of permanent approval on the margin of safety are bounded by the previous safety conclusions of License Amendment 196." My apologies on this. It appears to have been a cut and paste problem from Question 1. Please advise if you will require a replacement page, or whether this e-mail clarification will suffice.

Re: FW: FILE Ed, I have a question about a phrase on page 12 of 17 to Attachment 1.

In the last sentence of the second paragraph of the response to number 3 - should the phrase "... the effects of permanent approval on the probability or consequences of an accident are..." be replaced with N... the effects of permanent approval on the margin of safety are..."?

It seemed to me to be a cut and paste error, since the wording used in response to number 3 is very similar to that of number 1 (on page 11 of 17).
