MEETING TO DISCUSS D.C. COOK PLANT PERFORMANCE
Dear Mr. Nazar:
This letter refers to the meeting held on March 3, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST) at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Region III office in Lisle, Illinois. The purpose of the meeting was for the American Electric Power Company (AEP) to provide its perspective on D.C. Cook plant performance.
At the meeting, AEP presented an overview of recent plant performance at D.C. Cook which included areas where plant performance has been perceived by AEP to be good as well as areas requiring additional attention. American Electric Power Companys presentation also included a discussion of the progress of initiatives to improve plant performance. During the presentation, AEP also discussed plant performance goals and milestones.
The handout provided by AEP at the meeting and a listing of principal AEP and NRC attendees are attached as Enclosures 1 and 2 to this letter.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rule of Practice, a copy of this letter and its enclosures will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
