Notification of Pending Changes to the Emergency Response Data System In accordance with Subsection 3.b of 10 CFR 50 Appendix E Section VI, Emergency Response Data System,' Exelon Generation Company, LLC (EGC) is providing notification of pending changes to the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) that could potentially affect ERDS transmission format or computer protocol. Currently, the ERDS program transmits data collected and formatted by the Point History program with data retrieved from the Station process computer. A revised ERDS interface will transmit data collected and formatted by Pi Data Historian. Pi Data Historian receives data from the Plant Process Computer. Data points transmitted by ERDS will remain as currently provided with the exception of:

Byron Unit I No Changes Byron Unit 2 AM013 will be replaced by AM012 AM015 will be replaced by AM014 Additionally, computer protocol has been upgraded to meet the requirements of NUREG 1394, Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) Implementation,Section I.B.1 Data Transmission.

The interface program has been tested in a computer laboratory. Live transmission testing with Scientech in Idaho is complete.

Consistent with Subsection 3.b of 10 CFR 50 Appendix E Section VI, implementation at Byron Station for Units and 2 is scheduled for after November 03, 2003.
