ISSUANCE OF FINAL SIGNIFICANCE DETERMINATION This is to inform the Commission that a WHITE Significance Determination Process (SDP) finding will be issued on or around September 12, 2002, to Nuclear Management Company, LLC, as a result of inspections at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant. This WHITE finding, an issue with low to moderate importance to safety, which may require additional NRC inspections, involved the adequacy of the licensees critique of two performance issues during the biennial emergency preparedness exercise that was conducted on February 12, 2002. The critique did not identify an inaccurate PAR development, which is considered a failure to identify an exercise weakness associated with a risk significant planning standard (RSPS).
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of this action. The schedule of issuance and notification are:
