Purpose:
The NRC staff and AmerGen Energy management will discuss the results of the NRCs assessment of the safety performance at Three Mile Island Nuclear Station for the period April 1, 2001, to December 31, 2001. This assessment is described in the annual assessment letter dated March 4, 2002, and can be found at:
http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/LETTERS/tmi_2001q4.pdf.
The agenda for this meeting will consist of an overview of the NRCs Reactor Oversight process and a presentation on the annual safety assessment of Three Mile Island given by NRC staff, followed by an AmerGen management response to the assessment. Information relative to this annual safety performance assessment can be found at http://www.nrc.gov/NRR/OVERSIGHT/ASSESS/TMI1/tmi1_chart.html. Following the meeting there will be a brief break followed by a public Q&A session for those who have additional questions for the NRC.
