Dear Sir or Madam:
On September 19, 2024, the NRC notified James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant (JAF) of an escalated enforcement action, EA-24-088, associated with a preliminary White Finding,05000333/2024011-01 [Reference 1]. This finding concerns the B Emergency Diesel Generator (EDG) Gallery Supply Lube Oil Check Valve Failure that occurred on April 24, 2024.
On October 29, 2024, the NRC provided a final significance determination of a White Finding and Notice of Violation [Reference 3].
In Reference 3, the NRC stated plans to conduct a supplemental inspection for this finding in accordance with Inspection Procedure 95001, Supplemental Inspection Response to Action Matrix Column 2 (Regulatory Response) inputs, following JAFs notification of the readiness for this inspection.
This letter serves as notification to the NRC that JAF is prepared for the 95001 supplemental inspection.
