SUBJECT:

James A. FitzPatrick Nuclear Power Plant Docket No. 50-333 Updated Submittal of Security Plan (TAC No. MC2921)

Dear Sir or Madam; Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., (ENO), has resolved the comments provided by Mr. Robert Fretz and Mr. Douglas Huyck of your staff, regarding our Security Plan submittal, of September 28, 2004, for the James A. FitzPatrick (JAF) Nuclear Power Plant.

We have added discussion of monitored surveillance and interdiction in the Owner Controlled Area to Section 7.2 of the Safeguards Contingency Plan (SCP), consistent with the language in Section 10.5.1.3 of the Physical Security Plan (PSP). We have replaced the terms funneled and funneling in Sections 7.4.1 and 7.5 of the SCP with language more descriptive of the equipment function. We also took this opportunity to correct a typographical error in Section 7 and Appendix A of the PSP, the National Institute of Justice Standard referenced in both places is corrected to read 0108.01.

This letter re-submits the plan in its entirety. The submittal consists of this letter and a single CD-ROM. The CD-ROM contains three files, each of which is presented in.pdf format:

001-Transmittal Letter 16,000 bytes 002-James A. FitzPatrick Physical Security Plan, Security Guard Training and Qualification Plan and Safeguards Contingency Plan 919,000 bytes 003-Plan Cover Sheet with signature 74,000 bytes This letter contains no new commitments. If you have any questions or require additional information, please contact Jonathan LaPlante at (315) 349-6406.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on the 14Th day of October, 2004.
