By Reference 1, Indiana Michigan Power Company (l&M), the licensee for Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant (CNP) Unit 1 and Unit 2, provided notice of intent to submit a Subsequent License Renewal Application for the renewed Operating Licenses for CNP Units 1 and 2 in accordance with 1 O CFR 54, "Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants," by the end of 2027.
By this letter l&M is providing a refined planned submittal date to be in the first quarter of 2027.
The first renewed Operating Licenses for CNP Units 1 and 2, were issued on August 30, 2005, and will expire on October 25, 2034, and December 23, 2037, respectively.
This is a revised voluntary submission of information to provide advance notice that l&M intends to pursue a license renewal in accordance with Regulatory Issue Summary 2009-06, "Importance of Giving the NRC Advance Notice of Intent to Pursue License Renewal," for the purpose of aiding the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in planning the use of its resources.
