Failure to Follow Commercial Grade Dedication Process

Description

The inspectors identified a Green, non-cited violation of 10 CFR Part 50, Appendix B, Criterion V, Instructions, Procedures, and Drawings, associated with the licensees failure to accomplish activities affecting quality in accordance with documented procedures. Specifically, the licensee upgraded the safety classification of Ashcroft series 200 diaphragms to safety related without following the requirements of station procedure ECE-6.02-03, Critical Characteristics Development. The licensee entered this issue into the corrective action program as Condition Reports CR-CR-2016-009733 and CR-2017-007811.
